Project Resource Planning

This unit standard is aimed at ensuring that learners are able to generate the resources required to implement arts and culture projects. Learners credited against the unit standard know where to find resources for projects, how to access these resources, and how to leverage lessons learnt for future resource generation.

Content

Qualifying learners are capable of:

  • Developing resourcing strategies and plans for project implementation that are appropriate for and relevant to the organisation and project goals.
  • Motivating for resources to implement specific projects that meet the objectives of the relevant organisation.
  • Recording the results of resource generation for future reference using accepted recording and storage systems.

  • Requirement

    The credits assigned to this unit standard is based on the assumption that the following competencies have already been attained, at NQF Level 4:

  • Engage in sustained oral communication and evaluate spoken texts (8974).
  • Read, analyse and respond to a variety of texts (8975).
  • Write for a wide range of contexts (8976).
  • Use language and communication in occupational learning programmes (8979).
  • Represent, analyse and calculate shape and motion in 2-and 3-dimensional space in different contexts (9016).
  • Apply knowledge of statistics and probability to critically interrogate and effectively communicate findings on life related problems (9015).
  • Use mathematics to investigate and monitor the financial aspects of personal, business, and national issues (9014).
  • Fulfil procurement activities and supervise procurement administration (10142).
  • Schedule project activities to facilitate effective project execution (10133).
  • Monitor, evaluate and communicate project schedules (10143).
  • Participate in the estimation and preparation of cost budgets for an element of work and monitor and control actual cost against budget (10134).
